The Aye Gill Pike trig point is situated on the summit of the hill of the same name and was built in 1949 as part of the third order of trig points.

The trig point is situated next a broken wall that runs almost the whole length of Rise Hill. The view is dominated by higher fells; Great Coum and Whernside to the south and Baugh Fell to the north. Although neither Dentdale or Garsdale can be seen from the trig point a short walk to the south or north brings the valleys into view.
