The Carr Top trig point is located above a small abandoned quarry near Weston Moor Road between Blubberhouses and Otley. It was built in 1953 as part of the third order of trig points.

Although there is no public right of way to the trig point it can be seen from the roadside. A handy parking spot is the small layby at the top of the Dob Park road. From there it is a short walk back up the hill (taking care of traffic). For those wanting to physically get to the trig point the low wall next to the higher of two blue gates provides the best access.
The quarry is abandoned and the pasture is very overgrown so it doesn’t look like it is used for anything else. I was expecting a good view of Otley but the town is largely screened by trees. The view is still good, particularly eastwards towards Lindley Moor and Great Almscliff Crag.
