It is a nice and fairly easy climb up to the Crookrise Crag Top trig point from the car park at Embsay Reservoir. A handily placed stile in the nearby wall provides access to the trig point from the path.
With a broad expanse of moorland to the east the views are best from the north-west to the south-west with Pendle Hill looking particularly prominent. All in all it is a nice spot and one I have fond memories of a summer evening I spent by the trig point watching the sun go down.
