The Hunter Bark trig point is situated on a modest hill of the same name between Settle and Long Preston and was built in 1949 as part of the third order of trig points.

The trig point sits on a small patch of grass surrounded by patches of reeds. There is a fine view north north up Ribblesdale towards Three Peaks country.
The trig point can be accessed fairly easily by using a gate at the junction of the Pennine Bridleway with the public footpath leading down to Mearbeck.
