Sat in a patch of reeds on an otherwise heathery moor the trig point is probably approached from the south using the track heading across Dallowgill Moor to the Kettlestang Shooting House. The view is is one of sweeping moorland, if visibility is good this also includes the distant outline of the North York Moors to the east.
