Swinden Trig Point

The Swinden trig point was located on a small hill near the village of Cracoe, it is one of a number of trig points in the country that has become the victim of quarrying.

The Trigpointing website has a photo of the trig point taken in 1983 and clearly shows it above Swinden Quarry. The latter has grown considerably in the meantime and the trig is thought to have been destroyed in 1990.
