Caseker Force is a lovely but little known waterfall situated in the hidden valley of Caseker Gill on the lower slopes of Great Whernside. Technically the waterfall doesn’t have a name but given its location Caseker Force is apt.
Known to few people (mainly cavers heading for nearby Dow Cave) it can be viewed by taking a pleasant path from the Kettlewell to Coverdale road just above Park Foot Bridge where there is space to park a few cars. Care does need to be taken to get close to the waterfall. On my visit the stream was full and I had a potentially nasty fall on the slippery rocks just to get the photo above. It is definitely a waterfall I’d like to go back and hopefully get closer to.
