Gayle Falls is a modest but easy to visit waterfall on Gayle Beck as it flows through the village of Gayle in Wensleydale.
The waterfall can be well seen from the roadside as well as the bridge immediately to the south. Stone steps from the bridge provides access to some rocks a bit closer to the falls. The waterfall itself consists of a few small drops.
There is apparently also a further waterfall 50 yards or so downstream but this can only be viewed from the grounds of Gayle Mill. Other notable waterfalls on the same beck are Hawes Falls further downstream and the magnificent Aysgill Force a mile or so upstream from Gayle Falls.
