Scale Haw Force is a fine little waterfall situated on Hebden Beck between the village of Hebden and the tiny hamlet of Hole Bottom.
The waterfall is about a ten minute walk north of Hebden on the access road to Hole Bottom. Before reaching the latter take the public footpath descending to the stream. The path isn’t particularly clear so care must be taken dropping down the grassy path.
The right of way fords Hebden Beck just below the waterfall so to get a better view of Scale Haw Force hop carefully upstream on the rocky streambed. Although not particularly well known it is in my opinion one of the finest waterfalls in the southern half of the Yorkshire Dales.
